The IDF arrested 12 Palestinians suspects overnight. Later on Wednesday soldiers shot a Palestinian woman who approached them brandishing a knife.
An attempt to stab soldiers occurred near the al-Arroub refugee camp, the IDF Spokesperson reported on Wednesday morning.
The attack occurred as the soldiers were patrolling Route 60, which connects Jerusalem and Gush Etzion.
The woman who attempted the stabbing was shot and no soldiers were harmed, the IDF said.
“Break the Wave” continues
As part of the ongoing Operation “Break the Wave” against terror activity in the West Bank, IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces arrested 12 terror suspects during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday and on Wednesday morning, the IDF Spokesperson said,
The forces operated in a number of locations throughout the West Bank, including in the villages Orif and Jaba in the Nablus area, and Beit Fajar, near Bethlehem, and two other villages in Efraim Regional Brigade territory.
A number of the suspects were arrested for terror activity, while others were detained for ferrying Palestinians who entered Israel illegally.
