Abuja to host 2022 African Industrial and Development Ceremony and Awards

 

  • In partnership with the Associated Press (AP), Yahoo Finance and the Times of Jerusalem, the gathering is set to bring together private sector CEOs, leading experts, and policymakers
  • The Forum promises two days of enlightening, in addition to over 20 sessions covering the challenges Africa faces in the post-pandemic world emerging

Nigeria is set to host the 4th edition of the African Industrial and Development Ceremony and Awards (AIDCA) which recognises industry talent, leadership skills, industry net worth and capability.

The event, scheduled to hold on September 8 and 9, 2022, at the Plush Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, will feature global thought leaders to share ideas, discuss the newest trends, economic issues and experiences from across different countries on the continent

A statement signed and made available by the conference director, Aisha Salisu, the organiser of the Dotmount Communications Group, in collaboration with Yahoo Finance, the Associated Press and the Times of Jerusalem, also announced the call for entries for nominations for the two-day event.

The conference offers concrete, innovative and actionable solutions, champions private sector growth, leads discussions around game-changing public policies and advocates for best growth-oriented practices to help the continent move forward, build resilient companies and develop outstanding CEOs.

A specific focus of discussion will be the overarching strategies Africa’s policymakers and businesses should adopt to keep pace with the changing world.

The keynote is expected to be delivered by the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama. Other speakers include Ahmed Sultan Bin Sulayem, executive chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Center DMCC, Ms Samuela ISOPI, European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Dr Remi Duyile, former Vice President of Bank of America, Babatunde Fowler, former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nayla Al Khaja , first female film director and producer in the United Arab Emirates, Hanna Louisa Bissiw, National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress in Ghana among others.

“The awards event would recognise, reward, and celebrate organisations, institutions and individuals that are contributing to the innovation, achievements, progressive and inspirational changes taking place within the banking and financial sector and the general economy in West Africa,” Aisha Salidu, awards director said.

While the conversations are the major focus of the forum, showcasing and celebrating the outstanding and exemplary work of individuals and organizations has become an essential pathway to reinforcing possibilities that abound on the continent.

This summit presents an opportunity to further the conversations and network around the shared values of progress, development, and advancement for our continent.
