Saudi Digital Government Authority governor meets UN officials

The chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Digital Government Authority, Abdullah Al-Swaha, met the under-secretary-general for the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Liu Zhenmin, and the director of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government, Juwang Zhu.

Their meeting came within the framework of Al-Swaha’s tour to the US to strengthen bilateral relations in the digital economy, research, innovation, space, and best practices in digital government, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The tour highlighted Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in digital transformation in digital government and building smart cities based on the directives of the country’s leadership and its Vision 2030 that adapted to the modern challenges of energy and climate to participate in efforts to build a sustainable future.

Al-Swaha praised the qualitative leaps the Kingdom was witnessing in various fields, especially in communications and information technology, and their impact on digital government services and the quality of life.

During their meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, Al-Swaha also discussed the efforts to develop digital skills, prepare competencies in the communications and information technology sectors, research and innovation, and progress in digital government services.
