Blue and White MK Michael Biton heads the Knesset Economics Committee and said he won’t convene it because of a public transport reform.

Blue and White MK Michael Biton announced on Wednesday that he would no longer vote with the coalition, except for in votes of no confidence.

His announcement comes as a result of conflict regarding a public transport reform which the Knesset Economy Committee said was planned secretly behind its back.

Biton, who heads the committee, said he would not convene it in protest over reforms in public transportation.

Cabinet secretary Shalom Shlomo is trying to mediate between Biton and Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli. who has been rejecting his demands for months.

Biton is the previous mayor of the development town Yeruham. His demands involve helping people who live in periphery communities.
